Letter: Protecting one insults many more
How have we come to a place in our society where one group is not honored because it might offend or hurt the feelings of an individual?
I work for a large company which locally employs a fair amount of people.
The day before Veterans Day, our local managment was instructed to gather all employees together to recognize our working vets.
Instead, no gathering was called and we were each individually handed our trinket of appreciation, with an under-the-breath “we honor your service.”
The carriers didn’t even receive theirs until they were out of the office.
This was done because one employee returned to work that day after washing out of boot camp and local management didn’t want to hurt thier feelings.
Well, it didn’t honor myself or anyone who ever wore a uniform of this country.
This “everybody must feel good” attitude is what has led to the financial and moral collapse of this country.
Everybody deserves a house they can’t afford, no God in school or work, do whaterver makes you feel good.
Wake up, America.
