Wedding: Hopkins/Adams

Erin Thekla Sierra Hopkins and Grant Austin Adams, residents of Lafayette, were married Sept. 30 at St. Francis of the Mountains at Fallen Leaf Lake. Bishop William G. Burril officiated.

A reception followed at the Valhalla Grand Lodge at South Lake Tahoe.

The bride, daughter of Henry and Elisabeth Miller of Yuba City and Stephen Hopkins of Pollock Pines, had Sarah Sanders of San Francisco as maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Brooke Coplan of Destin, Fla., Amanda Gengler of New York City and Anna Wright of Portland, Ore.

The bride is an elementary school teacher in Oakley. A graduate of Yuba City High School, she received her bachelor's degree with honors from the University of California, Berkeley and her master's degree in education from UC Davis.

The groom, son of Glenn and Jamie Adams of Lafayette, had his father as best man.

He was also attended by Anthony Fassero of San Francisco, Brian Fogarty of Berkeley and Ryan Stevenson of Cleveland, Ohio, as groomsmen.

The groom works in real estate development in the Walnut Creek area in addition to teaching architecture at Diablo Valley College. He attended Miramonte High School in Orinda and received his bachelor's degree, with honors, and master's degree in architecture from UC Berkeley.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
