• What did you want to be when you were a kid? A fireman or a cop. I wanted to work for the Red Cross.

• What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? We were driving over here and suddenly decided to settle down.

• What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I was about 100 feet from singer Mark Chesnutt on the rodeo grounds in Lovelock, Nev.; shook hands with members of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

• If you won a $1 million, what would you buy for yourself? A house, a car, some clothes, nothing fantastic

• Favorite musical group: REO Speedwagon, Styx, Earth, Wind and Fire

• Favorite television shows: "Law and Order," "240 Roberts," "Starsky and Hutch"

• Favorite sports team: Carolina Panthers

• Tell us about a life-changing experience: I was in an accident in Carson City, Nev., that changed my life. I became more human. When I was younger I thought. "I'm invincible, nothing can happen."

• What was your first job? I worked as a janitor for Yuba Gardens.

• How would you describe yourself? Full of energy; I have a good head on my shoulders, like to be around people.

• What are your favorite places to go in the Yuba-Sutter area? All the Chinese restaurants. Ellis Lake is pretty cool.

• What are some of your fondest memories? When I was a kid, I was at a river and saw a little puddle of water and tried to baptize myself.

• Favorite book: The Bible

• Favorite movies: "Twister" and "Backdraft"

• Favorite actor/actress: Clint Eastwood and Bruce Lee; Lindsay Wagner

• What is your worst fear? Heights
