Three Cheers Letter: Buying meal for seven appreciated
Recently, my husband and I took our five kids to dinner at a local Mongolian BBQ place. While standing in line, I had a brief encounter with a nice lady, mostly small chat about my family.
She obviously heard me say, to my husband, that I didn't want our children to have soda before bed so they needed to order water. I smiled at the lady and said "I guess I am a mean Mom."
She made a comment, something about being smart and she smiled at me. She was getting her dinner to go while we stayed in and ate at a table.
After I sat down, I saw her leaving. The waitress came to the table and informed us that she had paid for our dinner! I asked which lady it was, and the waitress directed me outside. I followed and barely caught up to her and managed a "thank you" before she replied "Enjoy your dinner!"
I just wanted to say, first, that my faith in humanity is restored and last but not least, thank you so much to the lady that paid for (a not so cheap) dinner for a family of seven.
