Letter: Constitutionally minded representatives needed

A check on who holds our $16 trillion national debt disclosed an interesting fact. The US Social Security Fund, along with government employee retiree funds, holds the most at nearly $5 trillion.

Neither China nor Japan hold as much, even combined at just more than $1 trillion each.

Either Congress has been using the SSI to hide investments or President Barack Obama has found a way to shuffle funds from the deficit spending over the past three-plus years.

When trillions of dollars are collected for SSI, how did this happen? We can't just segregate dollars from the SSI Fund without some oversight, can we? Whose job is that? How much of Obama's "deficit spending" has been diverted from Medicare or seniors COLA cost of living compensation? The Fed? If so, doesn't the president have the final oversight through Ben Bernanke?

Why do we even consider national deficit ceiling increases when most of these dollars were collected for America's seniors? Obviously, we can't "sell" those bonds since they are virtually "worthless."

Support your seniors — they apparently are the only thing between bankruptcy and freedoms.

Join me in voting for the most constitutionally minded representatives. Vote GOP.
