• What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I wanted to raise my kids in a smaller town.

• If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? I would wish that all three of my girls are successful in their lives.

• Whom do you most admire and why? My mother, because she is a very strong woman

• Tell us about a life-changing experience: When my first daughter was born

• What was your first job? I was a hostess at Carl's Jr. when I was 15 1/2.

• How would you describe yourself? Hard-working, loving and obnoxious

• What kind of pets do you have? We have a zoo: three dogs, six cats, three birds, a rat and a hamster.

• What was your favorite subject in school? History, because of the teacher I had in high school

• What are your favorite places to go in the area? Little Beaver Campground in La Porte and going up to the foothills

• What are some of your fondest memories? Picking berries with my mom and sisters in the creek when I was young; playing in the park with my girls when they were little

• What are your favorite foods? Pasta — I love fettuccine Alfredo.

• If you were in charge, what would you change about the community? I think we should have more community activities for teens, something they could have fun at, like roller skating or ice skating.
