90th Birthday: Elston

Longtime Yuba-Sutter resident Logan Elston is celebrating his 90th birthday with festivities Nov. 3 hosted by his wife, Eunice Elston, and children.
He was born Nov. 8, 1922, in Broken Arrow, Okla., and resides in Olivehurst.
A veteran of World War II, serving with the Marines in the South Pacific, he worked on major road construction projects throughout Northern California.
He is a member of the Word of Life Church in Marysville and enjoys tinkering and gardening.
His family includes four children, Montie Elston of Olivehurst, Juanita Bates of Yuba City, Linda Randow of Rupert, Idaho, and Brenda Reinhold of Langen, Germany; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
