Sunday Entertainment moving and expanding

Starting Sunday, the Appeal-Democrat expands and adds more pages. The Sunday Entertainment page is among those affected by the expansion as it moves to the Lifestyles section and adds a second page.

The second Entertainment page will bring back the extended entertainment calendar, which includes a long list of events in the Yuba-Sutter area, Sacramento and the Bay Area.

Depending on space, the second page will also include more entertainment content, such as video game reviews or feature stories.

It all starts Sunday.

Speaking of weekend events, this past weekend, "Jennifer's Body" opened.

The film was the first real test of "Transformers" star Megan Fox's credibility as a leading actress. After all, the "Transformers" films would have made money no matter who was the lead actress.

And, unfortunately for Fox, "Jennifer's Body" bombed, with $6.8 million in ticket sales — only the fifth highest-grossing film of the weekend.

The movie likely bombed because of poor advance reviews and the backlash against Fox for being overexposed and her habit of saying some truly stupid things in interviews.

Megan Fox is nice to look at (if you can get past her dumb tattoos), but the second she opens her mouth, she ruins the illusion of hotness.
