• Family: Mother, younger brother and sister living in New York. An older sister, grandmother, two uncles living locally

• City of residence: Yuba City

• Occupation: Landscaping through Quest Co.

• What is your favorite part of your job? Driving the lawnmower

• Hobbies, interests: Paintball with Deaf Freaks, a private club based in Yuba City; occasional skateboarding and video games. I got involved in paintball playing when a friend invited me to join the Deaf Freaks, a team of paintball players who compete all over California. I have been playing for one and half years, and would like to go into professional paintball.

• Where do you get your news? Appeal-Democrat newspaper, TV and internet surfing

• What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? My mother is originally from Yuba-Sutter. I was born here, then moved to Arkansas. We returned here in 1992 for family.

• What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? Girlfriend, friends, and family

• How long have you been deaf? I became deaf after being sick with high fever.

• Favorite musical group: Gorillaz, a mixture of hip hop, rap, blues, pop music.

• Favorite television show: “House,” “E.R.” and Dragon Ball Z

• What was your first job? Food preparer for The Refuge restaurant

• How would you describe yourself? Funny, laid back and shy

• What is your dream job? Professional paintball player

• What are your favorite foods? Chinese and Filipino food

• What was the last good book you read? “Moon Wolf” by Charles de Lint.

• What is your favorite movie? I like scary movies or comedy movies.
