Letter: Working man can't help everyone
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Let’s clean house in California; ad in California is a loan.
Anyone receiving any financial aid from the state of California is required to reimburse the state (the taxpayers). Payback is enforced by wage assignment, tax lien, intercept of tax returns, property liens, asset liens, DMV liens, etc.
All inmates released from California institutions - jail, prison, etc. - are required to reimburse the state of California (the taxpayers) for the cost to care for them while in jail, by the same liens outlined above.
Implementing these liens enforced by the state will either make people accountable for themselves, or find themselves having difficulty in California; maybe another state will support them.
A hard-working family has to make sacrifices to see that their children get a college education, and a lot of the graduates end up with a degree and a student loan that they will pay back.
The working man can’t help everyone.
