Letter: Bible left schools, evil came in
What has happened to the school in Connecticut is incomprehensible. Someone said it was "evil." But why did this happen?
One reason why is because our leaders kicked the Bible and God out of our schools, and when the Bible went out, evil came in. Crosses are being removed from various places. The Ten Commandments are not to be seen and even the Nativity scenes are taboo.
My wife and I went to a theater because we wanted to see the movie "Lincoln." Before the movie came on, we saw about 15 previews of shows to come. All were horrible. Murders, guns, sex, you name it. We wouldn't go see any of them.
On television, most of the good shows deal with crimes, murder and rapes of all sorts. The video games the kids play are dangerous, the Internet can be awful, even concerts are very suggestive.
Oh, one very good thing. The children who die are now well and alive in Heaven. Jesus said in the Bible, "Forbid not little children, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven." (The parents can be comforted.)
I remember the "good ol' days" of TV; "Happy Days," "I Love Lucy," etc.
No, I am not a prude. I believe there is a Satan who is evil, and a God who is good.
God made us with a free will to choose. Whom you associate with and what you view is what you become.
Yes, there is evil in the world today, and much of it is caused by what environment we choose to live in. The solution to evil? God.
