Occupation: I am a retired teachers aide after 23 years, Ponderosa Elementary School in Paradise.
Hobbies, interests: I like to sew. I make quilts, dresses and I alter my clothes. I also volunteer in my grandson's classroom. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren.
What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? When my daughter moved here for her work as a teacher in Yuba City, me and my husband moved here to be closer to my grandchildren. We live close to eachother, only five houses down.
Place of worship you attend: First Lutheran Church in Yuba City.
How long have you attended? Since we moved here in 2008.
What is the importance of faith in your life? I became a Christian at age 13 after confirmation, that's when I decided I would be a disciple for Jesus. I was in folk choir playing the guitar in a church in San Jose and the music and lyrics have always connected me spiritually to my faith.
How do you live out your faith? I look to everyone I come in contact with in the community or in public, as a gift from God. I think God puts us in places where we get the opportunity to serve others.
