Community of Faith Briefs: Glad Tidings hosts women's event

“The Heart of the Bridegroom” is the topic of the ladies conference set  next week at Church of Glad Tidings, 1179 Eager Road, Yuba City.

The two-day event, with worship leader Steve Mitchell, starts at 7 p.m. Friday and at 10 a.m. Feb. 2 in Building 200.

JoAnn McFatteris also featured.

The cost is $25 for both days, including lunch; $10 Friday only; or $15 Saturday only.

Yuba City: Youth mission dinner planned

Persons who have taken part in the Yuba-Sutter Youth Mexico Mission Trip over the years are invited to attend an alumni dinner at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Yuba City.

All participants and shareholders from 1989 to present are welcome.

Set at 6 p.m. Feb. 9, the dinner includes guest speakers Scott Congdon, co-founder of AMOR

Ministries; and Warren Shank, YoungLife and the first trip leader.

Yuba City: Super Bowl bash scheduled Feb. 3

Church of Glad Tidings is hosting a Superbowl Bash for families on Feb. 3, with doors opening at 3 p.m. in Building 100.

The football game kick-off is at 3:30 p.m.

Admission is free; families are asked to bring their own food to enjoy while watching the televised game between the San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens.
