City of residence: Wheatland.

Hobbies, interests: I like country music, reading books, and watching movies.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I was born and raised in New England and had never traveled west of the Rockies until my former spouse was assigned to Beale Air Force Base. When he retired, my sons were in junior high and high school age and I wanted them to stay and finish school in one place. I have lived here ever since.

Place of worship you attend: Hope Point Nazarene Church and St. Andrew Presbyterian, both in Yuba City.

How long have you attended? Off and on for a few years.

What is the importance of faith in your life? Faith in my life brings me great hope, peace and joy. I try to base everything in my life around my faith and live as a good person. I would be very sad and lost without my faith.

How do you live out your faith? I live out my faith by being mindful of integrity. It’s easy to say one thing and live another, so staying true to myself and maintaining my integrity keeps me grounded and allows me to offer the best of myself to others.

Faith in Action appears Saturdays. It features a member of a church, temple or mosque and the importance of their faith. To suggest someone to be featured, contact Faith & Family coordinator Larry Badger at 749-4776 or lbadger@ appealdemocrat.com.
