Letter: Connecticut shootings painful for YC family

On Dec. 20, 1989, our two granddaughters, Tami and Melanie Morgan, were shot and killed by their father, Rodney Morgan, who then committed suicide. They were 6 and 7.
The recent killings of 20 6- and 7-year-olds has been especially painful to our family. We grieve for the families and all those affected by this tragedy, which is far reaching.
Faith, support of family and friends, allowing grief to run its course, and releasing any anger or bitterness has been our way of coping through the years.
God has promised to turn our mourning into dancing, which is what we will do when we join those we love and miss.
