90th Birthday: Farmer

Friends and family are invited to help Ruth Farmer celebrate her 90th birthday with an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. Feb. 11 at the First Christian Church, 215 Main St., Wheatland.

No gifts, please.

The celebration is hosted by her daughters, Susan Tatarazuk of Marysville and Jennifer Lannom of Applegate.

Born Feb. 11, 1922, in Floydada, Texas, she has been a resident of Wheatland for 59 years and previously lived in the Rio Oso area. She and her husband, the late George Farmer, were married from 1939 to 1984.

Retired, she formerly worked as a secretary at Lone Tree School on Beale Air Force Base, and as a Realtor for Billie Single Realty in Marysville.

She has been a member of the First Christian Church for 59 years and enjoys planting flowers.

Her family also includes her son, the late David Farmer, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
