What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I was born in Fresno, spent nine years in Mexico, then moved here in 1989 with my family.

What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I had my picture taken with the singer Rosana.

If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? A better life for foster kids. I really hate to see kids without parents.

Favorite type of music: Spanish music, especially mariachi.

Favorite television show: The DIY Network

Favorite sports team: Lakers

Who do you most admire? My parents, for bringing me into the world.

Tell us about a life-changing experience: Becoming a conductor and seeing how much damage a train can do.

What was your first job? Driving a tractor for Filter Farms in Live Oak.

How would you describe yourself? Friendly, happy, responsible. I always talk to my neighbors.

Favorite places to go to in the area: The rivers, for swimming with my daughters, and the Chico water park.

What is your dream job? Commercial pilot.

Do you belong to any clubs or organizations in the community? Bible study classes at St. Joseph's Church.
