Name: Betty Record.

Age: 76.

Residence: Loma Rica.

Occupation: Retired horse trainer. I trained for some 20-odd years.

Family: Husband Ray, a retired jockey. A niece in Oregon, and Ray's mom.

How long have you lived in the area? Moved to Arboga Road in 1961.

What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? Love of the area.

Favorite places to visit in the Yuba-Sutter area? Local golf courses.

Do you have any hobbies or interests? Fishing, going to the pool.

Where have you traveled lately? Lake Davis, Mammoth Mountain and Soldotna, Alaska.

Do you belong to any organizations or groups? I'm still a part of the Golden Feather Riders.

Did you ever have a favorite horse over the years? His name was Come On Deck. I won lots of races with him.

Who's your favorite singer? Sinatra.

Do you have a favorite sports team? The San Francisco 49ers.

Do you have a favorite movie? I really enjoyed "Seabiscuit." Ray got me the book and DVD. The book was very informative.

What's your favorite food? Italian food. Ray cooks Italian quite frequently.

What's the closest you've ever been to a famous person? Robert Mitchum. I will never forget his voice. It was at the Los Alamitos Race Course, and I accidentally leaned on him at a table in the barn. He said to me, "You can lean on me anytime."

Is there anything you would change about Yuba-Sutter? In the earlier days, there was less traffic. I wish there was less now.
