Hobbies, interests: Camping, cooking, refurbishing old furniture, gardening (even though I am not good at it).

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? My parents moved our family here when I was 2 due to my dad's promotion with his company.

Where would you like to live someday? I would love to live or retire to Nevada City someday. It's so pretty up there.

What is the closest you've been to a famous person? My husband and I just went to Game 5 of the American League Division Series Oakland vs. Detroit, where we got to shake Rickey Henderson's hand as he walked by our row.

Favorite musical group: Lady Antebellum.

Favorite television show: I am really into "The Walking Dead" right now. Those zombies look so real.

Favorite sports teams: Oakland A's, San Francisco 49ers and the San Jose Sharks.

Who do you most admire? Probably my Grandma Ella. She is always doing for others and always makes a person feel special. Plus, that woman never stops. I wish I had her energy.

Who has had a strong influence in your life? Always my family and friends. Their opinion means everything to me.

Favorite places to go to in the area? Fort Bragg — we go on a big family camping trip every year there.

Do you belong to any clubs or organizations in the community? I am part of Bayside Church in Plumas Lake where I volunteer as a preschool and nursery teacher.

Favorite foods? I love Mexican food.

What was the last good book you read? "Heaven is for Real."

What is your pet peeve? When someone eats with their mouth open — drives me nuts.
