What is your New Year's resolution? I would like to run a full marathon. I did a half-marathon in November.

Hobbies, interests: Running, mountain biking, snowboarding, triathlons, duathlons and reading.

What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? My hubby. I've been in this area since 2003.

What keeps you in the area? My friends and family.

Where would you like to live someday? Wyoming.

If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? A time machine.

Favorite sports team: New York Yankees.

Whom do you most admire? My high school teacher Marian. She invested a lot of time in me and taught me the value of forming my own opinions and making decisions for myself, not making decisions based on what others were doing or thinking.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A park ranger. And I was a park ranger with the Nevada State Parks for three years.

Favorite places to go to in the area: Mountain biking in Oroville and Folsom, snowboarding at Lake Tahoe.

What is your dream job? I have my dream job. If I can stay at the school I am at now, I will be happy for a long time.

What are some of your fondest memories? Traveling around Italy.

What is your pet peeve? When people say, "It is what it is."

What do you like about yourself? I strive to achieve the goals I have set for myself.

Favorite musical groups: The Kills and The Shins.

Favorite television show: "The Walking Dead."

Favorite foods? Pizza and wings.
