What brought you in the Y-S area: I transferred here with PG&E in the early 1950s and then went to work for Caltrans; staying with them until I retired.
Tell us about a life-changing experience: Getting married and having kids is definitely a life-changing experience.
Hobbies, interests: I work around the house and I like to fish. About once a year I go up to Vancouver Island for the fishing.
Why is it important to give blood: The need for blood is great.
Why do you give blood: Someone has to do it, and it's something I can do.

Favorite music: Anything country western

Favorite places to go in the Y-S area: Most everywhere, but especially the rivers and mountains
What was your first job: The government trained me to be a professional killer. That was the U.S. Army where I served from 1945 to 1946. Then I went to school before going to work for PG&E.
