Letter: Fremont birth care exceptional

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

For all the flak that our local Fremont Hospital gets, we felt it necessary to let future patrons know of the exceptional care, kindness and even food we received when our first son, Hunter, was born there last week.

Our very kind labor and delivery nurse Carrie D. was fantastic, going out of her way to promptly accommodate our needs and requests. While in the nursery Mary-Jane couldn't have been more helpful during those first couple nights, always having our comfort, as well as our baby’s, in mind. Even the “hospital food” which has a notoriously bad reputation was surprisingly tasty. My father-in-law even made the comment “I should start coming here for lunch,” appreciating the value and quality of his meals while waiting through 10 hours of labor. In all, the kind, informative and helpful staff made the arrival of our first baby that much more special.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Nurse Carrie D., Mary-Jane and the entire staff at Fremont Hospital from the bottom of our hearts.
