Air Force Airman Ashton J. Banta graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
The son of Tony Banta of Yuba City, he graduated in 2009 from Yuba City High School.

Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Keaton C. Hagbom earned distinction as an honor graduate from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
He is a 2010 graduate of Yuba City High School.
His mother and stepfather are Victoria and Brian Reif of Yuba City and his father is Ronald Hagbom of Loomis.

Army Lt. John Eric Wright of Yuba City graduated from the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Ga., and was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers.
He has been assigned to Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., for engineer officer training.
The son of Susan and John Wright of Yuba City, he graduated in 2002 from Yuba City High School and in 2006 from the University of California, Berkeley.
He also served 27 months as a Peace Corps volunteer teaching English in Kazakhstan.

The USS Nimitz Association is hosting its 14th annual reunion Oct. 26- 29 in Pensacola, Fla.
The event also celebrates the 100th anniversary of naval aviation.
