Business Briefs: See 2013 Fusion at Geweke Ford and aid area charity

The 2013 Ford Fusion will be on display during Go Further with Ford Night from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Geweke Ford, 871 E. Onstott Frontage Road, Yuba City.

Part of Ford's nation-wide Random Acts of Fusion, the event will also raise money to benefit Geweke's Caring for Women Foundation.

Ford will donate $10 to the foundation for each person who attends the event, up to $500 total.

The evening will include a VIP experience with "American Idol" through a webcam.

Persons age 18 years and over interested in participating in Go Further with Ford Night can register in advance at RandomActsofFusion.com and have a chance to win tickets to a live taping of the television show.

Golden Valley Auto Body hosting 'turkey drive'

Golden Valley Auto Body in Yuba City is working to help local people in need during the Thanksgiving holiday by hosting a "turkey drive" and accepting donations before the event.

The public can drop off frozen turkeys between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday at 727 Sutter St.

While there, participants can enter a drawing and have a piece of cake.

Chili's helping charter school

Twin Rivers Charter Academy in Yuba City will receive a donation of part of a day's sales from Chili's Grill and Bar, with fliers available at the school.

To make a donation, patrons can also mention Twin Rivers Charter Academy when paying the bill.

The restaurant, at 1300 Annette Way, will donate 15 percent of each dinner check on Tuesday to the school for end-of-year trip.

Floral artistry featured at Country Florist's Holiday Open House

Floral artistry by The Country Florist owner Kevin DeHoff is featured at the business' Holiday Open House from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Linda.

Jewelry, purses and scarves are also part of the event.
