73rd Anniversary: Fries

Brownsville residents Raymond and Vera Fries, the former Vera Lee, celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary with their children at their home.
The couple were married Sept. 17, 1939, in Sacramento and have been Yuba-Sutter residents for 30 years.
He started hardware stores in Brownsville.
She is a homemaker.
Their family includes three children, Wesley Fries of Yuba City and Dennis Fries and Susan Murphy, both of Brownsville; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
