Virginia L. Linder

Virginia Lee Linder, 68, of Sutter died Sept. 3, 2006, at her residence.

Born in Detroit, Mich., she was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 17 years.

A semi-retired school teacher, she was a substitute teacher for the Sutter Union School District, teaching art and history. Also, she was a tutor for special education students, a horse trainer, a certified public accountant, a ballet and tap dancer, and a member of Harvest Time Church in Lincoln.

Survivors include four daughters, Wendy Anderson of Sutter, Mary Duly of California, Sue Ray of Detroit, Mich., and Kim Williams of Memphis, Tenn.; four sons, Andrew Gawura of Kentucky, John Gawura of Ohio and Michael Gawura and Daniel Gawura, both of Michigan; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 11 a.m. at Harvest Time Church, 371 East Ave., Lincoln. Arrangements are under the direction of Holycross Memorial Services in Yuba City.
