Engagement: Geweke/Green

Joanne Geweke and Joel Green, residents of Santa Rosa, plan to wed in July at the Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Larry and Dale Geweke of Yuba City.

A graduate of Yuba City High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in child development from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 2005, and a multiple-subject teaching credential from Fresno Pacific University in 2006.

She is a kindergarten teacher at Mattie Washburn Elementary School in the Windsor School District.

Her fiancé is the son of Doug and Jeannie Green of Santa Rosa.

He graduated from Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa and earned a bachelor’s degree in viticulture and enology from the University of California, Davis in 2002.

He works as a winemaker at Safe Harbor Wines in Napa.
