Two YC girls score hat tricks

Caitlin Tull and Hronn Svansdopttir scored three goals each to lead the Yuba City High girls soccer team to a 7-0 Metro Conference win over Grant Tuesday in Sacramento.

Helen Del Rio added a goal and two assists goal for the Honkers (11-3-1, 3-3). Megan Repka also had two assists, and Jena Taylor and Jessica Yahn each had one.

Faith Chr. 4, Bradshaw Chr. 1

Cheni Holden scored her 10th goal of the season Tuesday as the Lions won a Central Valley Christian League game in Sacramento.

Holden also had an assist, and Katie Hall, Laura Thorpe and Ellie Farley each added a goal and an assist for Faith (5-3-3, 4-2-2).

Stephanie Sluder and Cami Bicknell played well on defense, said Faith Christian coach Pierre Preaseau.

Bradshaw Christian managed only two shots in the game, and the Pride scored their lone goal on a penalty kick late in the second half.
