Here it is, the final weekend of Gold Sox baseball for 2008. While I have been associated with the Gold Sox and their predecessor Mudcats as part of my work, I hadn’t followed them so closely before.

The Gold Sox organization is well-run with a high penchant for quality customer service, a solid level of collegiate baseball and a great family-fun atmosphere.

On behalf of thousands of fans like my wife and me, thanks to owners Tom and Karyn Lininger, manager Jack Johnson and all of the coaches, players and employees for a great, entertaining summer.

Plan to catch one of the closing weekend games and let's send the Gold Sox off with our appreciation for a season well done.
