Military Briefs: Feb. 19, 2012

Ruben Ramon Gomez completed basic training at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego.

A 2010 graduate of Marysville High School and raised in Oregon House, he is the son of Ray and Reyna Gomez.

During a 10-day leave in January in Yuba-Sutter, he assisted at the local recruiter's office.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Jacob G. Sisco received early promotion to his current rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

He is a 2003 graduate of Live Oak High School.

Army Reserve Pvt. Kevin A. Bell graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.

A 2009 graduate of Lindhurst High School, he is the son of Kevin R. Bell of Elk Grove.

Navy Seaman Apprentice Zachary R. Trindade, the son of Sandy R. and Michael D. Trindade of Olivehurst, received early promotion to his current rank after graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

He is a 2011 graduate of Lindhurst High School.
