Henry Henson, the son of Mary and Leonard Henson of Yuba City, has been promoted to sergeant first class in the US Army.
He has served in Germany, South Korea, Kosovo and Iraq and is an instructor for the Army's Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Operator Course in Fort Huachuca, Ariz.
A 1998 graduate of Yuba City High and a 2001 graduate of Yuba College, Henson recently completed a bachelor's degree in applied sciences and was accepted to the Warrant Officer Candidate School at Fort Rucker, Ala.
He and his wife, Anja, have two children.
Air Force Airman Dylan A. Stanbury graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The son of Penny Bailey of Marysville, he is a 2009 graduate of Marysville High School.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Nicholas J. Harker graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The son of James and Bora Harker of Browns Valley, he is a 2005 graduate of Wheatland Union High School.
Air Force Airman James L. Watherford, a 2010 graduate of River Valley High School, completed basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
He is the son of Lisa Norton of Yuba City and Jon Weatherford of O'Fallon, Ill.
Army Pvt. Michael A. Canalin has graduated from One Station Unit Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Waynesville, Mo.
The son of Troy and Carolyn Canalin of Marysville, he is a 2009 graduate of Pleasant Valley High School in Chico.
Army National Guard Spec. Bryan K. Edwards completed basic combat training as an honor graduate and received a letter of commendation at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
A 2000 graduate of Yuba City High School, he is the son of Virgil Edwards of Plumas Lake and Charlene Kammerer of Wilton.
