Marshall Gibson

Marshall Gibson, 76, of Gridley died April 11, 2006, at his residence.


Born in Soper, Okla., he was a Mid-Valley resident for 34 years.


He was an engineer.


He was a member of Victory Chapel in Live Oak.


He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, stationed in Germany, and received the Occupational and National Defense Service medals.


Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Frances Gibson of Gridley; a daughter, Sabrina Howard of Chico; a son, Douglas E. Gibson of St. Paul, Minn.; three sisters, Anita Webb of Dumas, Ark., Pauline Grebb of Paris, Ark., and Atha Ballard of Texarkana, Ark.; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.


He was preceded in death by two brothers.


Services: Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel in Gridley. A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at Victory Chapel, 10615 Highway 99, Live Oak, with Pastor Tim Stewart officiating. Burial is at Gridley-Biggs Cemetery.
