Juan Urzua

Juan Urzua, 80, of Gridley died March 7, 2007, at his residence.


Born in Callejones, Colima, Mexico, he was a Mid-Valley resident for 20 years, living in Live Oak before recently moving to Gridley.


He was a farm laborer and a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Yuba City.


Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Reynalda Urzua of Gridley; two sons, Ricardo Urzua of Gridley and Francisco Urzua of Colima, Mexico; a sister, Ramona Delgado of Colima, Mexico; and four grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by a brother, Adan Urzua.


Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation and left in care of Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel.


Services: A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday, preceded by visitation at 5 p.m., at Gridley-Block Funeral Chapel in Gridley. A Mass of Christian burial is scheduled at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1560 Hazel St., Gridley, with the Rev. Miguel Silva officiating. Burial will be in Colima, Mexico.
