Patriots 'Rally for Freedom'

Corning Patriots hosted a Rally for Freedom on Saturday at the intersection of Highway 99W and Solano Street from noon to 2 p.m.
Patty Smith said the group had a great turnout and response from people driving by.
Battling the wind, Smith said the group received no nasty responses as they held American flags, pro-gun rights, anti-United Nations, pro-Constitution and anti-terrorism signs.
The rally was held to let people know what the Patriots group stands for, that they are in the fight and not going away, Smith said.
The group plans on holding a rally from noon-2 p.m. Saturday at the Silver Dollar Fairgrounds during the gun show, weather permitting.
