Letter: P.C. will get people killed

You would think that after the killing of innocent soldiers at Fort Hood, our government would stand up and say that we abhor such an action and are determined to bring the perpetrator to justice. Instead, we hear from the president that we must not jump to conclusions; Gen. George Casey is more worried that this could affect diversity in the Armed Forces; the media wishes the alleged gunman’s name was Smith, and our Homeland security secretary states our biggest threat is a possible backlash against Muslims. 

Our biggest threat is a possible backlash? Excuse me? Are all Muslims extremists? Of course not. But when you see so many red flag warnings, I am reminded of the famous saying – “Stupid is as stupid does.” Where are the promises made by our government after 9/11 to have preventive counterintelligence in place by our intelligence community to protect the American people? 

 Let’s get rid of the political correctness that is killing innocent people here and all over the world and realize that there are a great many Jihadists in our midst and determined to kill all infidels – us.
