Family: Husband, Wayne Springer, married 61 years; three children, Susan Buist of Colusa, Steven Springer and Janet Wooten, both of Hallwood; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Sister, Ruby Schoenig of Hallwood; and two brothers, Johnny Worm of Yuba City and Sam Worm of Durham.

Occupation: I keep the books for my family's operations, Hallwood Fruit Company and Springer Farms. Before I started my family, I worked briefly for the Yuba County Welfare Department and after I had my daughter, I became a stay-at-home mom.
Hobbies, interests: Gardening and canning fruit; mostly peaches. I also like going to my grandchildrens' sporting activities.
What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I was born in Yuba City and lived in Hallwood for all my life. We lived for six months in Rapids City, SD, while my husband was in the Air Force.
After his enlistment was up, we moved back to Hallwood and he started farming with my father and brothers.
Place of worship you attend: Hallwood Community Church of the Nazarene.
How long have you attended? All my life. I officially became a member when I was 15 in 1947. My parents, Herman and Cecelia Worm, were members.
What is the importance of faith in your life? It's been the stabilizing factor of my life and it has kept me on the straight and narrow path. It has helped me with all the important decisions I've made in my life and it gives me hope for the future.
How do you live out your faith? By trying to live according to biblical terms daily. Do unto other as you would have them do unto you. I try to be generous, understanding, forgiving and treat others with respect.
