Amanda Lois Hanks and Joshua Thomas Sanchez, residents of Summerville, S.C., plan to wed Nov. 15 at St. Luke's Chapel in Charleston, S.C.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Michael and Harriet Hanks of Darlington, S.C., and the granddaughter of Lois Reynolds, also of Darlington, Oliver and Nell Hanks of Hays, N.C., and the late Clinton Davis.

She is a 1999 graduate of Mayo High School for Math, Science and Technology in Darlington, S.C., and a 2005 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina. She works as a family nurse practitioner at Palmetto Primary Care Physicians in Moncks Corner, S.C.

Her fiancé is the son of former Yuba-Sutter residents Thomas and Jacqulin Sanchez of Orangeburg, S.C., and the grandson of Julian and Rosie Sanchez of Marysville, Carl and Peggy Meyer of Yuba City and the late Margaret "Peggy" Meyer.

He attended St. Isidore Catholic School in Yuba City and is a 2001 graduate of Calhoun Academy in St. Matthews, S.C. He works for the Medical University of South Carolina as a research specialist.
