Wedding: Portocarrero/Harris

Nicole Deanne Portocarrero of Mill Valley and Shane Levi Harris of San Francisco were married Aug. 9 at the Silverado Resort in Napa. The Rev. Don Creasman officiated.

A reception followed at the same site.

The bride is the daughter of Gus and Deanne Portocarrero of Novato. She was attended by Alexis Ward of San Francisco, Julie Weiss of Mill Valley as maids of honor and Heather Harris of Walnut Creek as matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Nina Alvarez of San Anselmo and the groom’s sister, Nicol Nabeta of Marysville, and cousin, Monica Yartz of Yuba City.

Attendants also include MacKenzie Brown and Jaime Brown, both of Lafayette, as junior bridesmaids; Kate Brown of Lafayette as flower girl; and Vincent Portocarrero of Novato as ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and works as the executive director for the Bay Area Bicycle Coalition in San Francisco.

The groom is the son of Vicki Harris and Greg Harris, both of Yuba City. He was attended by his brother, Shon Harris of Yuba City, and cousin, Jon Christian Morris of Humboldt as best men.

Ushers were Joseph Haws of San Carlos, Justin Murphy III of Shingle Springs, Mike Von Quilich of Roseville, Vance Nabeta of Marysville and the bride’s brother, Scott Portocarrero of Novato.

The groom is a graduate of California State University, Chico and works as the project director for Webcor Builders in San Francisco.

The couple honeymooned in Thailand. They plan to make a home in San Francisco.
