The week is filled with harvest festivals and Halloween-related events in the Mid-Valley, although the autumn holiday doesn't arrive until the middle of the week. Activities include:
Harvest Festival at the First United Methodist Church —12:30 p.m.-6 p.m. today at 3101 Colusa Highway, Yuba City.
The Haunting of Smokey Hills Manor — 5 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Wednesdayat Sutter/Yuba Friday Night Live building, Fourth and C streets, Marysville. Admission is $5; children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
Healthy Harvest Fair — 1 p.m.-4 p.m. today at Daddow Park, Sycamore and Virginia streets, Gridley. Hosted by Butte County Public Health.
Halloween Ball — 4 p.m.-11 p.m. today at The Plaza Room, 210 Julie Drive, Yuba City. Sponsored by Gotbliss Inc. Donation: $5-$20.
Trunk or Treat Carnival — 4:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Wednesdayat Sammie's restaurant, 2517 El Centro Blvd., East Nicolaus.
Scarysville Halloween Festival — 5 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday on and around D Street, downtown Marysville. Sponsored by Marysville Business Improvement District.
Fall Festival — 5 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Avenue Baptist Church, 804 Cooper Ave., Yuba City.
Kids for Christ Celebration — 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hallwood Community Church of the Nazarene, 2825 Highway 20, Hallwood. Admission: $3 per person or $15 for family.
Annual Harvest Festival — 6 p.m.-8 p.m. Wednesday at Sutter Community Church, 2900 Acacia Ave., Sutter.
Trunk or Treat — 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Rio Del Oro Elementary School 1220 Zanes Drive, Plumas Lake.
