Three Cheers Letter: Haunted house was a hit
The Arboga's Dead End Horror Haunted House this year was a great success. We were able to donate money to Avon Breast Cancer Walk, Arboga Elementary School and Arboga Community Center. I feel we had a great turnout and support.
I would like to thank the neighbors of the Arboga Community Center for putting up with some screams, noises and any other inconvenience that may have occurred during the two-day event. I feel the neighbors are tolerant because they know the money earned is going to some well-deserved originations. I would also like to thank our sponsors; Tiger Eye Family Martial Arts on Lindhurst Ave., G.W. Home Repairs, Steve Fordice and crew, Neighbor's Pizza, Bill Edick Insurance, Dick Sanchez Powder Coating, Meeks Lumber, All Right R.V. and Ben Toilets. Without local business support, it would have been difficult to put on our haunted house.
The haunted house took several months of planning and more than three weeks to build for only two nights of haunting. For those of you who helped out, whether it was building, cleaning, acting, videotaping or selling tickets, I would like to thank you for your help. I could not have done it without you. I would like to say I am SORRY for those parents who went through the haunted house and your children are still scared and sleeping with you. We plan on doing it again next year; we hope to see you there. Scare you later!
