Suzie Hayes and Michael Jochner, both of Sunnyvale, plan to wed Sept. 20 at the Yosemite Community Church in Yosemite National Park.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Richard and Norma Hayes of Yuba City, is a graduate of Yuba City High School and Yuba College.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, and a master’s degree in recreation management from the University of Idaho, Moscow. Currently she is attending San Jose State University to obtain a teaching credential.

Her fiancé, son of Judy Jochner of Sunnyvale and the late David Jochner, is a graduate of El Camino High School.

He received an associate’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from San Francisco State College and is the executive chef at La Rinconada County Club in Los Gatos.
