Suzie Hayes and Michael Jochner, residents of Sunnyvale, were married Sept. 20 at the Yosemite Community Church in Yosemite National Park.

A reception followed at the Ahwahnee Hotel in the national park.

The bride, daughter of Richard and Norma Hayes of Yuba City, had Janie McCauley of Alameda as maid of honor.

Attendants also included Kassandra Wilson of San Jose as a flower girl and Tyler and Todd Hayes of Folsom as ring bearers.

The bride is a 1992 graduate of Yuba City High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Lewis-Clark State College in 1998, a master’s degree in recreation management from the University of Idaho in 1999 and is seeking a multiple subject teaching credential from San Jose State University.

She plays in many United States Tennis Association leagues and runs for West Valley Track Club.

The groom, son of Judy Jochner of Sunnyvale, had Kurt Krueger of San Jose as best man.

The groom is a 1993 graduate of El Camino High School in South San Francisco and earned an associate’s degree in hotel and restaurant management from San Francisco City College in 1996.

He is an executive chef at La Rinconada Country Club in Los Gatos and is a member of the  American Culinary Federation.
