Rotary honors Henderson as student of the month
Corning Rotary Club named Madelyne Henderson as Student of the Month for January during a luncheon last Wednesday.
Henderson, 16, is the daughter of Todd and Virginia Henderson and a junior at Corning High School.
She is involved in the 4-H Club, field hockey, Cardinal Drill Team and the Corning High School Cardnivore Club.
Henderson has been Elks Lodge student of the month, was Student of the Year at Richfield Elementary School and is a junior leader in Corning 4-H Club.
Her favorite subject is mathematics and she holds a 4.0 grade point average.
Following high school graduation, Henderson plans on attending Butte College for two years and then attend California State University, Chico.
