Letter: Still waiting for Herger's answers

Comments 0 | Recommend 0

I went to the town hall meeting to hear Wally Herger. I am still waiting for the answer to the most important question that was asked at that meeting. How much money has Mr. Herger received from the health insurance companies?

He was kind enough to tell us who has not donated to him. We now know that trial lawyers and the environmentalists have not given him any money. But we do not know how much he has received to continue his “just say no” campaign. He, also, could not answer the question of how come after eight years of Republicans in the White House and six years of Republican control of Congress nothing has been done to get the health care issue under control in America. Just a couple of questions that his constituents might like answered. Maybe?

PAY HIKE?
What should the board of trustees do with the proposed $29,282 pay raise for Chancellor Nicki Harrington?
Rescind it. Now is not the time.
Give it to her. She should be compensated fairly and competitively.
