Engagement: Johnson/McDaniel

Christi Johnson of Nevada City and Ricky McDaniel of Yuba City plan to wed Dec. 19 at Bethel Church in Grass Valley.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Brian and Cindy Johnson of Nevada City, attended Chester Jr. Sr. High School in Chester, Laguna Creek High School in Elk Grove and graduated in 2003 from Capital Christian High School in Sacramento.

She received her bachelor's degree in 2007 in music ministries and leadership from Bethany University and works as an operations supervisor for a financial institution.

Her fiancé, son of John and Lisa McDaniel of Yuba City, graduated in 2000 from Marysville High School. He is attending Wyotech in West Sacramento and plans to graduate in December as a smog technician.

He works at Orchard Supply Hardware in Yuba City.
