West Sacramento man suffers minor injuries in rollover

Man was driving north on Highway 70

A West Sacramento man was hospitalized Thursday morning after his vehicle rolled off of Highway 70, north of Marysville.

Monte W. McCray received minor injuries and was listed in good condition at Rideout Regional Medical Center.

McCray, 64, was heading north around 9:45 a.m. in the blue Jeep Wrangler sedan when it went off the east side of the roadway and rolled at least once, the California Highway Patrol reported.

No other injuries were reported, though flying debris from the wreck caused minor windshield damage to a second vehicle.

The vehicle landed on its wheels in an empty, muddy field near Ramirez Road.

Officers were told McCray had been driving erratically, weaving all over the road.

Investigators believe McCray suffered from a medical condition that caused the accident.

The CHP said neither drugs nor alcohol were factors.
