Letter: Former Live Oak mayor backs Boone
Over many years, I have known Jeff Boone to be a dedicated, involved member of the community. He volunteers to serve on the Live Oak Little League Board and has done so for many years; he is an active member of the Lions Club and Kiwanis. He has lived in this district all of his life and is of high moral character. He is approachable and will always lend a helping hand to his neighbors.
Jeff is a third-generation farmer and has a deep knowledge and understanding of business and the infrastructure that is needed to bring growth and jobs to our area.
He's aware of the importance of our youth and that they represent our future; he knows that jobs are what will grant families security and self-respect. He knows that jobs will increase tax revenues that can be used to serve our elderly citizens and the poor.
I know Jeff Boone to be a man of integrity. His word is golden. He can be relied upon to listen to the people and make choices that will benefit the majority. Jeff will prove to be a great asset for Sutter County.
All politics are local. That statement has never been truer than at this election cycle, and it's very important that we get it right. I urge everyone to get out and vote on Nov. 6 and I strongly recommend Boone for supervisor.
