• What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I grew up here

• What keeps you in the Yuba-Sutter area? My family and friends

• Where would you like to live after college? I've recently graduated from Chico State, and right now I am pretty sure that I want to say right here in Northern California.

• Favorite musical group: I think, right now, I would have to say Nickelback.

• Favorite television show: "Two and a Half Men" and "Prison Break"

• Favorite sports team: The Kings are always a good team to watch.

• Whom do you most admire and why? My parents. They have always been there to point me in the right direction.

• Favorite quote: "Stupid hurts"

• What was your first job? It was a summer job at Sunsweet Dryers in Gridley.

• What was your favorite/least favorite subjects in school? My favorite was mechanical drawing, and least favorite would be English.

• What are your favorite places to go in Yuba-Sutter/Mid-Valley? Going to the races at Silver Dollar Speedway, boating on the afterbay and motorcycle rides around the Sutter Buttes

• Do you belong to any clubs or organizations in the community? Gridley Honda Riders Club

• What are some of your fondest memories? Growing up riding motorcycles, my time spent at Chico State and racing at Silver Dollar Speedway.

• What are your favorite foods? Pretty much anything that is Mexican or Italian.

• If you were in charge, what would you change about the community? I would like to see more activities for parents and kids to interact and have a good time together.

• Do you play any instruments? Just a little bit of Guitar Hero.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
Yes. We've gone too long with limited options for homeless families.
