Letter: Beckett best choice for OPUD board

It is with pleasure I openly support John Beckett as a member of the Olivehurst Public Utility District Board. I have known John and his lovely family for 20 years. Through our friendship and working with John, I know his selfless giving to the community, local schools, civic organizations and clubs make John no stranger to what it will take to improve our community, to make sure tasks get accomplished and what it takes to work with a variety of community members.

John has a great understanding of the fact that friendly relationships should be maintained with the public and only through hard work will a healthy and positive environment exist within the board and our community.

John is trustworthy and honest, and is dedicated to investing long hours to insure his community that our parks will have green grass and be maintained, that our fire station crews arrive within a timely manner, and that our community will be a place that we can all be proud to call home.

John epitomizes exceptional character, credibility, ethics and has proven to be immune to biased thinking or corruption. Therefore, it is for the above stated qualifications I am confident Beckett is the only deserving candidate for this position.
