• Where do you get your news? Appeal-Democrat and KCRA-TV.
• What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? My parents moved here from Mexico in 1979 when I was 11.
• What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I sat near Mike Bibby of the Kings at a Monarchs game in Sacramento.
• If you were granted one wish, what would you wish for? Money and world peace.
• Favorite music: Country, especially George Strait
• Favorite television show: This sounds weird, but it's the Food Network.
• Favorite sports team: Kings
• Whom do you most admire and why? My parents, because they raised 10 kids.
• Tell us about a life-changing experience: Having my kids. That's when you understand what your parents went through.

• What was your first job? School custodian helper when I was in the seventh grade
• How would you describe yourself? Easygoing, friendly
• What was your favorite/least favorite subject in school? Favorite, ag science; least favorite, math.
• What is your dream job? I have it. When I was a kid, I went to barbershops and saw how barbers enjoyed what they were doing.
• What is your favorite part of the job? Making customers happy, especially the older guys.
• What are some of your fondest memories? As a kid, driving to Washington every year with my family for the apple harvest
• What are your favorite foods? Italian and Mexican
• If you were in charge, what would you change about the community? There would be more things for kids to do to help keep them out of gangs.
• Favorite movie: "Barbershop." Watching it encouraged me to go to barber school.
• What is your worst fear? My parents getting older, and anything happening to my kids.
